Extra Space Storage
Extra Space Storage, the second-largest storage unit facility in the United States, hired Eckman Construction to work on the West Valley City Self Storage project in Utah. This mixed-use project required expert concrete work, which we self-performed. Concrete elements included continuous footings, stem walls, retaining walls, and slab on grades. The Eckman Concrete Crew successfully formed and poured over 5,000 CY within a 4-month duration.
We worked through winter conditions, coordinating closely with subcontractors to navigate long lead times in procurement. By coordinating redesign and assisting pre-construction services, we were able to implement lean construction procedures and protocols, securing successful project results on schedule and within budget.
