Utah Career Education Center

Pipe Trades, formally known as the “Utah Career Center” was built by Eckman Construction. The Utah Career Center is a learning facility for Mechanical Contractors. The Utah Career Center has been training apprentices since 1944 and their educational techniques have had a significant impact on the construction industry in Utah. Their goal is to provide the most highly skilled workforce for the plumbing, pipefitting, and HVAC industries.

The scope of work for this project included a ground-up steel, wood frame, and concrete structure. The interior work consisted of offices, breakrooms, restrooms, and classrooms for the tradesmen. The challenging part of this project was incorporating all the pipes used for learning purposes inside the facility and meeting the client’s expectation of the construction schedule.
