Larsen Miller 5 & 6

Larsen Miller HP designed and built two mirror-image warehouses on a 10-acre site in Hyde Park, Utah.  Eckman Construction was contracted as general contractor and self-performed all building and site concrete work for these warehouses. Each tilt-up panel building has four drive-in level docks and 12 docks. To add interest to the building façade, a wing-wall parapet feature was used to accentuate angled wall panels.

At the beginning of construction, the team was faced with an exceptionally wet spring and additional water flowing to the site from a natural spring nearby. Through team collaboration and some creative solutions, Eckman Construction solved the issue by diverting run-off and installing pumps to remove standing water.

The first building started construction in April 2019 and was completed in January 2020. The building included two identical 750 SF offices on either side of the building for the tenant, Thermo Fisher Scientific. Each office space includes a reception area, two offices and restrooms. Building 2 started construction in October of 2019 and was occupied in August 2020.
