Hyde Park Building B
This new distribution warehouse was built on a 5-acre site and constructed with insulated, tilt-up panels and a TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin) roofing system. The building is equipped with an ESFR (Early Suppression, Fast Response) ceiling-mounted sprinklers which have the advantage of allowing for more inventory than in-rack fire suppression systems. Twenty-three docks with levelers provide efficient access to inventory. The warehouse will also include office space which is currently in design.
The project broke ground in June 2019, but to avoid the higher costs of construction during the winter months the owner opted to postpone construction until warmer weather. Even with the winter delays, the building is on schedule and will be ready for occupancy by November 2020.
The site and building concrete work, including the tilt-up panels, was self-performed by Eckman Construction. Additionally, Eckman managed the structural steel construction and exterior finishing and painting.
