Eckman Cares: Supporting a Local Family Through Partnership with Roc Solid Foundation

At Eckman Construction, giving back is an important part of who we are. Recently, our team participated in a meaningful service project through our Eckman Cares program, partnering with the Roc Solid Foundation to support a local Utah family with a child fighting cancer.

Roc Solid Foundation is a national nonprofit dedicated to strengthening families affected by pediatric cancer. One of the organization’s most impactful programs is building custom backyard playsets for children undergoing treatment. These playsets provide a safe, clean place to play while offering a sense of normalcy and joy during a challenging time.

Our team members volunteered their time and skills for a day to build and install a Roc Solid playset. We were honored to support this family and grateful for the opportunity to contribute beyond our everyday work in commercial construction. The experience reinforced our team’s commitment to community service and the values of compassion and teamwork at the heart of Eckman Cares.

“Construction is about building more than structures—it’s about building community,” said Cooper Eckman, President of Eckman Construction. “Being able to come together as a team to support this family and touch the life of this child is incredibly meaningful to us.” Members of the Eckman team echoed and demonstrated this sentiment. The project was particularly meaningful as all employees expressed empathy and compassion through their own personal connections with loved ones who have been impacted by cancer.

This project reflects the purpose behind Eckman Cares—using our experience as builders to make a positive impact beyond the jobsite.
