Eckman was recently awarded the contract as the general contractor to build the new football field at Providence Hall High School, a charter school in Herriman, Utah. The project, formally known as the “Providence Hall Field Renovation”, is slated for construction to begin March 4, 2024.

The $4.5 million project will include construction of a new football field, endzones, artificial turf, a 1,500-seating capacity bleacher system, and two buildings for concessions, storage, locker rooms, and restrooms.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to build this new football field for Providence Hall,” said Cooper Eckman, President of Eckman Construction. “The project not only represents our objective to expand our services to the K-12 educational sector; but more importantly it’s an opportunity to build a venue for the students at Providence Hall and help realize their hopes for home-field high school football memories and Friday night lights. We get that at Eckman–and its incredibly satisfying to bring that dream to reality,” Cooper continued.

Working with the designer, Babcock Design, and the owner, the Providence Hall Charter School Board, Eckman will deliver the scope of work which includes all earthwork, excavation, grading, and drainage; underground utilities, including a special HVAC system for the artificial turf; over 800 cubic yards of concrete for the bleacher system and sidewalks; two masonry block buildings with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and interior finishes; landscaping; field lighting; and, the installation of the bleachers. The project will be complete in September 2024 in time for the fall football season.
